May has been a very busy and wonderful month here at Riley. We started off the month with taking the 5th graders to Camp Duncan. The students spent one night and two days trying new things like rock climbing and archery. This field trip is always an unforgettable one and the students love it more and more each year. We can’t wait to go back again next year. 
As May continued 3rd grade went to the Shedd Aquarium and had a blast with the animals. 4th also got into the animals with a trip to Brookfield Zoo. These field trips are always so much fun and the kids really enjoy learning about the animals they have been researching all year.
We also had a great celebration for our 30 students who passed out of ACCESS. We are so proud of these students who scored a 4.8 or higher. They have worked hard for multiple years and deserve all our praise! Great job everyone! 
We finished off the month with an amazing Field Day. It has been 4 years since we had a full field day and this year did not disappoint. We had a bouncy house, water games and so much more. The scholars smiled all day and the whole school had fun. It was one for the record books!
