We have had a wonderful December here at Riley. We had our winter wonderland and had a blast with our families. The gingerbread houses turned out amazing. It was so much fun to see all the families working together and having fun. Thank you to everyone who participated and congratulations to our two winners. Our wonderful admin team made sure that the top two winners (which were picked by Riley school) got gift cards to celebrate with their families over the break. While gingerbread houses were being made the rest of our families were busy crafting, taking photo ops and then we ended the night with a trivia contest.
As scholars were busy making great growth on I-Ready, we also had lots of spirit days to countdown to winter break. Scholars dressed up as candy canes, wore festive sweaters, and had fun in their classrooms. Scholars also competed as a class and made big gingerbread men. As always it is wonderful to see what our scholars come up with and the classes really get into it.
Finally we celebrated scholars as they caught up on steps and got prizes for their steps from our November challenge. We hope to see more scholars catch up on their steps over winter break as we push out another challenge over break. Reading is essential and it’s very important that our scholars read over the break!
