Medications: School District 87 provides for the dispensing of medication to students in accordance with federal and state mandates (see complete policy in Parent-Student Handbook). Information regarding the dispensing of medications is sent to parents at the beginning of the school year, or within fifteen days of enrollment.
Immunization Data: Immunization data for your child’s school is publicly available in the Nurse’s Office. Please contact your school nurse should you want to review the most recent data submitted to the Illinois State Board of Education.
Food Allergy Committee: The Food Allergy Committee will be meeting in February. Please contact your building principal to learn more about the District 87 Food Allergy Management Program.
Epi Pens: Here is a link on how to use an Epi Pen and to help parents become more familiar with and to recognize the signs of anaphylaxis.
Automated External Defibrillators, AED: Each School District 87 school has an AED machine located in the gym. Additionally, each school has a portable AED unit that is taken taken outside with gym classes.
