It’s been a very busy two months here at Riley. We have had many things happening and lots of progress. In February our scholars took ACCESS and showed all that they knew in English. Our scholars who were at 500 steps got to read with some of our therapy dogs. They will be back in May for the next group of scholars who get to 500. 4th graders went to the Wolves game and had a great time. Scholars also started to work on their stories for ARC Unit 3. 3rd grade started writing traditional tales, 4th grade did historical fiction and 5th did adventure stories. Make sure to see what your child wrote and celebrate their growth in writing.
March started off strong with Read Across America. There were guest readers, fun trivia and great dress up days. At Parent Teacher Conferences teachers were able to share all the great progress scholars are making. Scholars all took the IAR test to show the state what they know and demonstrate all they have learned so far this year. To wrap up the month there was a dance show put on by our after school club. Scholars also got to participate in minigolf courses made by the 4th graders. Everyone is looking forward to Spring Break and finishing up the year. Keep up the great work Raptors.
